A Reluctant Warrior: 1968-1974, An Artillery Officer's Story
About the Book
This memoir describes my military experience from enlistment in 1968 to my discharge from the reserves in 1974. Although commissioned in the Artillery, I spent most of my time in Vietnam with the infantry. My tour carried me throughout I Corps from the foothills near Quang Ngai to the DMZ . My radio connection was often a lifeline to critical artillery support. Fortunately, my training allowed me to operate on autopilot in an often disorganized and chaotic environment.
