On Time Afternoon Dancers
Each of us has our own personal lion to face. It waits, knowing that we will make a mistake. We will. Be ready.
Many years ago I suffered severe brain damage. This novel is a partial account of the medical care I received, this is depicted by the male lead in the story. The other leading character is an American Indian girl. She thinks she is less because of a drunken uncle and the male lead knows he is still something less because of the brain damage.
There is also a little Indian boy who plays primitive games in a dusty field and reveals some of his thoughts of self and the culture he lives in.
One afternoon the man and woman are drawn together and each can see the self-constructed delusions the other person has built around themselves and ultimately help each other.
